As we design future Leadership Programs, we want to learn a bit more information about how you are using new media and participating in American democracy. This data will help us design better programs, especially as we work with foundations and other outside organizations.

Finally, thank you all once again for filling out our program evaluation during the Leadership Forum. We got some fantastic feedback and are already using it to shape our upcoming event in California.

Thank you all for taking part in the New York Leadership Forum.

I welcome you to our online platform, where I invite you to write your own posts about the event, comment on other posts, and connect with people who you met last Saturday.

In the next few days, I'll be posting summaries of the panels, videos from the forum, and other follow-up opportunities. I invite you to discuss these items, as well as start your own discussions.

We are pleased to announce that David Wilhelm will be one of our featured speakers for the New York Leadership Forum. Mr. Wilhelm has a background in politics and business. He served as the former Chair of the DNC from 1993-1994, and is the youngest person to head a national party. Currently, Mr. Wilhelm is the founder and president of Woodland Venture Management that focuses on investments in rural areas throughout the central United States.

To learn more about David, visit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Wilhelm

Use the comments below to discuss David and propose questions that you would like to hear him address at the forum.

Welcome to our New York Leadership Forum group! As we prepare for the forum, I'll be posting regular updates and this will be a great place for you to learn more about the event on the 29th. However, the real power of this platform are in the connections that you form with one another. As more participants are invited online, I encourage you to reach out to one another and begin taking part in discussions through our website. Of course, I encourage you to comment on the blog updates I post, but please feel free to post your own issues for discussion, and consideration by the group.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email directly: cnelson@americandemocracyinstitute.org

As ADI's Director of Programs, I'm excited to welcome you to our Leadership Network.  As we are preparing for our Fall events, this is the place for top leaders to gather and discuss the programs, the follow-up, and additional opportunities to collaborate.

We look forward to hearing from you as we prepare for the New York Leadership Forum on September 29th (click here for more). Please feel free to engage in discussion with fellow members of the Leadership Network in the coming weeks.  At the Forum on the 29th, our roundtable discussion groups will offer recommendations and opportunities for you collaborate with one another to expand the circle of equality, opportunity and justice.

If you have any questions about the Forum, or other ADI programs, please post them in the comments below, or contact me directly at cnelson@americandemocracyinstitute.org.   Read More »
